Why the name
Before shame,
there was Inanna.
Five thousand years ago in Sumer, the most powerful deity of the age was a woman: Inanna, goddess of love, desire and war. Temples rose in her honour. Hymns praised her pleasure without blushing.
And the first author ever recorded by name, in all of human history, was Enheduanna: a woman, a high priestess of Inanna, writing about her.
Women's pleasure is not a trend. It is the oldest story we have. We just gave it a battery.
